David Loeks is the inventor and designer of the LoeksLog® building system used by Haven TimberHomes. Prior to organizing Haven TimberHomes, he built several homes of this design, refining the concept on each iteration. Dave has an MBA and a Masters of Forestry Science from Yale University and has 30 years of business experience and resource management consulting in Northern Canada. In December 2008 he teamed up with Lindsay Flett to establish Haven TimberHomes.

Haven TimberHomes is located in the heart of the Cariboo District in British Columbia, with immediate access to the massive resource of pine killed by the Mountain Pine Beetle outbreak. Low-cost salvaged timber is a cornerstone of Haven TimberHomes’ production. This same location is convenient to rail and highway transport corridors to markets throughout western Canada and into the United States.
